Most people have an idea of what healthy food is but few of us actually eat healthy.
Green Light On Wellness is a hands-on group health coaching program that helps participants eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and consume fewer processed foods high in sugar, salt, and transfats.
Learn to apply 'Traffic Light Eating' concepts to meal planning, shopping, and food prep to feel better, have more energy and improve the overall health for you and your family. Over the course of 4 weekly sessions you will learn to group foods for healthy meal planning, makeover your fridge and pantry, remodel recipes to make them healthier, get meal prep and shopping tips, and recieve information and tools to work towards individual goals with the support of an experienced National Board Certified Health Coach.
Four weekly group sessions will be held at two locations in East Hawaii:

Do you want to be more active but do not know where to start? One of the easiest and most effective ways to ease into a healthier lifestyle is to begin walking. Get off the couch, gain confidence, and be part of an active community as a Vivawell WalkStar!
The WalkStar Program guides participants to develop a regular walking routine starting where you are and gradually building your stamina (distance and pace). WalkStars are led through a progressive weekly routine by a trained coach with some parts done individually and others as a group. Learn how to warm up for walking with stretching, fuel up with healthy foods, avoid injury and dehydration, and the many benefits walking creates for physical and mental health in a supportive peer community. Track your progress and challenge yourself with your own goals and aim to complete an optional group 5K walk (3.1 miles) at the close of the 10 week program.

There's more to health than diet and exercise. Research has shown that stress relief, finding purpose in life, having a positive outlook, resiliency, social support, and control over one's environment are also key aspects to overall, lifelong wellness.
What is measured is managed. To this end, Vivawell provides Health Needs Assessments to determine priorities for wellness program design. Contact us to find out how a Health Needs Assessment could benefit your workplace or group.
