Vivawell Walkstar

Do you want to be more active but do not know where to start?   One of the easiest and most effective ways to ease into a healthier lifestyle is to begin walking.

The Walkstar Program helps participants gain the most health benefits of regular walking routine focusing on adding time, frequency, and intensity as well as reducing sendentary (sitting) time.  Each Walkstars session includes an active warm up, walking workout and health education.
Challenge yourself with different goal setting tools and have fun walking to music and using a variety of walking equipment including a free pedomenter given to each participant.  Be part of an active community and earn a water bottle and t-shirt by attending the majority of sessions.

Vivawell's Walkstars- Walking for Fitness Program partners with the County of Hawaii Hawaii at locations in Hilo, Puna and Ka'u to offer this 10-week program with grant funding from the Hawaii Community Foundation.  The program is open to adults and free to participate with donations welcome.
