Most people have an idea of what healthy food is but few of us actually eat healthy.
Green Light On Wellness is a hands-on group health coaching program that helps participants eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and consume fewer processed foods high in sugar, salt, and transfats.
Learn to apply 'Traffic Light Eating' concepts to meal planning, shopping, and food prep to feel better, have more energy and improve the overall health for you and your family. Over the course of 4 weekly sessions you will learn to group foods for healthy meal planning, makeover your fridge and pantry, remodel recipes to make them healthier, get meal prep and shopping tips, and recieve information and tools to work towards individual goals with the support of an experienced National Board Certified Health Coach.
Four weekly group sessions will be held at two locations in East Hawaii:
Koana Coffee Shop Community Room in Mountain View, 18-1325 Old Volcano Rd, Saturdays March 4, 11, 18 and 25, 10:00-11:30am
OR
Puna Hongwanji Conference Room in Kea'au, 16-492 Old Volcano Rd, Thursdays March 9, 16, 23 and 30, 10:00-11:30am

Do you want to be more active but do not know where to start? One of the easiest and most effective ways to ease into a healthier lifestyle is to begin walking. Get off the couch, gain confidence, and be part of an active community as a Vivawell WalkStar!
The WalkStar Program guides participants to develop a regular walking routine starting where you are and gradually building your stamina (distance and pace). WalkStars are led through a progressive weekly routine by a trained coach with some parts done individually and others as a group. Learn how to warm up for walking with stretching, fuel up with healthy foods, avoid injury and dehydration, and the many benefits walking creates for physical and mental health in a supportive peer community. Track your progress and challenge yourself with your own goals and aim to complete an optional group 5K walk (3.1 miles) at the close of the 10 week program.
This 9 month group health education and coaching program provides partcicipants with knowledge, tools, and support from a Certified National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach (and your fellow group members) to eat healthier, be more active, and overcome mindset challenges to maintain a healthy weight and sustain wellness habits that reduce the risk of diabetes and other common chronic conditions.
This program is designed to help you lose 7% of your body weight by tracking food and activity to reach and maintain your goals
Gradually and safely increase your physical activitiy doing what you love and redesign your eating habits
Tap into your own unique motivation when setting wellness goals and learn to cope with setbacks to stay on track
